Last week Daddy had some annual leave from work and we made a spontaneous decision to book a night away. We chose to revisit Chester as it’s so easy to get to on the train and there’s not too much travelling. We also wanted to visit Cheshire Oaks for a bit of shopping. I managed to pick up two pairs of trainers for £60 total so I was super happy!
We decided to go back to Chester Zoo on our second (and final) day as we still had the other half of the zoo to explore. We had such a good day and I feel like we managed to see a lot more this time round. The difference in Emily’s experience in just a few short weeks was really amazing to see too. She spent a lot of time looking at the animals this time and was really interested in them. Emily has just learned how to point so she was pointing all the animals out to Daddy and me, it was so so cute!
I’m not going to write too much this time round and just let the photo’s speak for themselves. As always I took plenty of them! We seemed to see a lot of birds this time around.
We visited the bats too which Emily loved but I was a little unsure. They fly so close to you and some of them are so so big! You walk through a tunnel in the bat enclosure and all the little bats are flying around in there and you can feel them whooshing past you.
We are still going to have to go back another time because there are still some animals that we missed. The big cats keep evading us and I am desperate to see a tiger at the very least! Emily loved the meerkats too but we couldn’t get any photo’s as there was a lady having an encounter she had paid for in the enclosure. I didn’t feel right taking photo’s of her without her permission!
What are your favourite animals to see at the zoo?
