Winter is an etching, spring a watercolour, summer an oil painting and autumn is a mosaic of them all – Stanley Horowitz
A few months ago I wrote my maternity leave bucket list and it’s one of my more popular posts. You can find out how I did with it here. I thought it would be really fun to do an autumn bucket list to narrow down some things that I would love to do this season.
Collect crunchy leaves – I have a few sensory activities planned for Emily this Autumn and I need some crunchy autumn leaves. I think it will be fun to go out together as a family and collect some to use. Allowing Emily to be part of the process is an activity in itself. I’m sure she’ll love to crawl around in the leaves as we collect them!
Book a trip away – I really want to go away for a few days. Daddy has some annual leave coming up and I would love to go on another family trip. We recently visited Chester and went back to do the rest of Chester Zoo and it was lovely. We’ve had a trial run at staying overnight somewhere and now I’m itching to do it again!
Slow cooker hot chocolate – Now I might be getting ahead of myself here but when I think of autumn I think of cosy. And there is nothing more cosy than a blanket and a hot chocolate watching a film! I really want to try making hot chocolate in the slow cooker, I’m thinking chocolate orange flavour?
Visit a bonfire – I really want to see what Emily makes of fireworks and sparklers! And really, is there anything more autumnal than a bonfire?
Take family photos – One of my favourite things, that I love more than anything, is matching outfits with Emily. I’m trying to get Daddy involved too. I’d love to take some family photo’s of us all in our coordinating outfits to print and put up around the house.
Do you make seasonal bucket lists? Whats on your autumn list?
