If you set goals and go after them with everything you can muster, your gifts will take you places that will amaze you – Les Brown
This month has been one of my best months so far for blogging. I mean that in terms of motivation, enjoyment and results. October has been an amazing month all around ending with my baby girl taking her FIRST STEPS yesterday! I can’t think of a better way to end the month and now that Halloween is (almost) out of the way, starting tomorrow it is officially Christmas! Now lets get to the best bit, a look over the goals for the month and a recap on how they went.
Twitter – Goal 650 Actual 624
Page Views – Goal 1500 Actual 1670
Facebook – Goal one post a week Actual 7 posts
Pinterest – Goal 100,000 viewers & 4/5 top performing pins Actual 28,000 & 5/5 top performing pins
I am so extremely proud of my little blog this month. Since I was taking part in Blogtober I hoped that my stats would reflect my hard work but I didn’t think I would do as well as I did! I’m really pleased with my Twitter growth this month too. I hit a little bit of a standstill with it but it’s slowly on the rise again and I’m really pleased. My page views this month have been INSANE. I can’t quite believe how many I’ve had! Blogtober has really given me a boost and I’ve been so happy with the content I’ve been putting out. I couldn’t post daily forever but you can bet I’ll be giving Blogmas a go.
Another key factor in my page view success this month is the introduction of my brand new Facebook page. Maisie helped me to set it up and since then I’ve been posting links there daily as well as sharing my Instagram pictures. I’m slowly easing myself into using it and getting to grips with sharing content that way but so far so good! If you want to go over and like my page I’d be happy to have you! I’ve also managed to share a total of 7 posts on my personal Facebook which is not something I thought i’d feel comfortable to do. I think this month has given me a lot more confidence in myself and my blog and I’m super happy to carry that forward.
Lastly, Pinterest. I set myself an unreasonably high goal for monthly viewers this month but that’s okay. I didn’t think I would hit it but I am happy to report that my stats are finally back on the rise. I’m finding my groove with Pinterest and I find that making pins is one of my favourite blog admin tasks. If you want to follow me on Pinterest you can do so here.
Bullet Journal – Success
Read more – Success
Do more with Emily – Success
This month has been full of successes which is so positive and so motivating. I have managed to complete my bullet journal every single day this month and I’ve loved filling it in. I find tracking my habits has been so interesting and really holds me accountable for the things I want to accomplish. My habits for this month were ‘clean, read, get outside’ and seeing the little squares coloured in or blank has motivated me to keep going. I think the success of my read more goal is largely to do with my bullet journal. I have managed to read on 10 separate days this month and I’ve completed four books and started a fifth. I’m definitely going to track my reading in November and set myself a target number of books to complete. I managed to do a lot more with Emily this month too and I’ve blogged about a few of our activities. We’ve done a lot of themed activities such as sensory play, sensory bags and painting. We also managed to get out of the house a lot more and met up with some of our favourite people.
I’m excited to see what November brings as I have a lot planned! Tell me about your goals and achievements in the comments!
Love Laura xx
