If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water – Loren Eiseley
I’ve spoken about some of our bath toys on the blog before but I wanted to expand on that a little bit. Today I thought I would share some of our favourite bath time products. We still love our light up ducks but as I’ve dedicated a whole post to them previously I won’t mention them again in this post.
Hooded Towels – We love our hooded towels. When I was pregnant I went a little bit crazy on them and bought SO MANY. I remember going into Asda thinking to myself that we had only got one towel so I bought another pack. When I got home I discovered about 10 hooded towels in a pile in her wardrobe that I’d just forgotten I’d bought. We use two of these every bath time and I take two swimming with us too. My favourite one has little ears on the hood so when she’s all wrapped up she looks so cute!
Stacking Cups – I’ve spoken about how amazing our stacking cups are before in this post but they are also one of our favourite bath time products. Emily loves to fill and pour at the minute so these are a perfect addition to bath time. Our cups have holes in the bottom and Emily loves to put her hands out so you can let the water pour out of the holes onto her hands.
Johnsons Baby Shampoo – When I was pregnant there was a lot of controversy surrounding Johnsons baby products so I was a little cautious. However Daddy looked into it a little further and found that the UK products were safe to use and this is the only shampoo we have used on Emily so far. We do have a couple of other brands to try but so far we are happy with this one. I love to smell her head (that’s normal right?) after she’s had a bath and she still has that baby smell after using Johnsons!
Simple All-in-One Wash – Emily loves a bubble bath so I make sure to add this body wash to her bath. It makes a good amount of bubbles and they last quite well. It is definitely one of our favourite bath time products. The bubbles also taste nice apparently as Emily is always trying to put them in her mouth. The body wash includes chamomile and lavender which makes it perfect for relaxing before bed. It also does not contain any soap, artificial perfume or dye which I like. We avoided using soaps on Emily for a good 2-3 months because she has quite sensitive skin but so far this is working well for us!
Sea Themed Sponges – During a trip to Primark Emily spotted some sea themed sponges on a shelf and pointed at them. I showed them to her and then put them back on the shelf (rookie mistake). As soon as they were back on the shelf she screamed so I obviously had to buy them for her. It turns out that she made a good choice as we have used them for every bath time since! They came in a pack of three which means she gets two and I get one (until she notices and takes that one too). This means she is distracted enough that I can wash her hair/face/body quickly whilst she has her hands full!
These are our current favourite bath time products. What products could you not live without?
